讀書、學習知識到底有何重要？

很多時候與學生聊天時，特別是中學的年青人，總會談及一個問題：

「由我們出生開始，便要學習、讀書，到底為甚麼？為甚麼我們要學一些自己根本不會感興趣的科目？」

我會跟他們解釋：「學習知識是為了將來懂得解釋不同的情況，是為了具備邏輯思維能力分析將來每一樣所發生的事，為了生而為人令社會變得更美好而作出貢獻。」

讀書和學習知識是人類進步和成長的關鍵因素，它們在個人和社會層面上都具有極其重要的作用。以下是讀書和學習知識的幾個重要原因：
